Our desire is to help all people to grow closer to God and to one another, and to use their gifts to glorify God.
Choir
Every February, we begin a 10 week commitment as we prepare for Easter at Bethany. We meet at 6 PM on Wednesdays in the Music Suite for 1 hour. We also have one Thursday night rehearsal from 6:30-8:30 PM during that ten week commitment. We then take a break until the Fall when we begin another 10 week commitment in preparation for Christmas at Bethany.
Worship
With a variety of weekend services, there are a number of opportunities to involve new musicians. Instrumentalists are encouraged to contact us via email to set up a private audition. We encourage vocalists who are interested in becoming involved in the worship team to first get involved in our choir so that we can get to know them better. Twice a year we hold open auditions for those interested in getting involved.
SHOUT! Kidz' Choir
School aged children are encouraged to get involved in our Fall children's musical. The musicals typically involve a large children's choir with soloists and actors. The rehearsals are held on Sundays immediately following our 10:30 AM service in the Music Suite.
TrueLife Choir
Students (6th grade through college age) begin rehearsals for TrueLife Choir Tour in March of every year. The choir rehearses on Sunday mornings at 12 PM in the Music Suite. In April, the choir competes in the Fine Arts Festival at which they have won top honors at the District level for several years. To conclude Choir Season, TrueLife Choir goes on tour during Memorial Day weekend. They minister to various churches and also have the opportunity to serve in the community during their tour.
Orchestra
String, Woodwinds, and Brass instrument players are welcome to worship with us at the 9 AM service in the Worship Center. The orchestra is also welcome to play for Easter at Bethany and Christmas at Bethany. Rehearsals are at 8:10 AM in the Worship Center. We encourage musicians of all ages to be involved.
Technical Teams
With several services and multiple venues, we welcome people interested in running sound, lights, and video. We will provide you with the training you'll need to run the equipment and get you involved in our weekend services. Opportunities include: running or assisting with running sound, stage lighting, running media during weekend services, running camera for special announcements, running camera for recording services, and editing video.
